I've got a presence icon on the sidebar so people can Skype me (courtesy of Jyve). Now, it should let you know if I'm online or not so you can do the whole VoIP thing. Oh yeah, I also installed Google's new Talk client this week. I think Skype's better (multi-conference capability, ability to interface with international phone networks, etc.), but very few of my friends are using it at the moment. Maybe the google buzz will finally get this whole VoIP thing going.

Unscientific Housing Bubble Indicator

Just thought I'd throw my own two cents into the housing bubble debate raging through our financial communities lately. While I could wow you with facts and figures about the rise in interest only mortgages, negative amortization mortgages, etc. I think this is a way scarier indicator, albeit mighty unscientific.

When the geeks start leeching real estate instruction videos, you know the end is nigh. Computer geeks are always the last ones on the bandwagon with everything involving popular opinion. Want to know what home theater system to get for that high-fidelity experience? Ask a nerd. What car has the most fuel efficient engine? Bingo. Nerd.

Want to know what color is going to be "in" next year? Do yourself a favor and skip the nerd this time.
